Susie:  It was fantastic!  Our luggage arrived in Chamonix a day late, but that didn't matter since the ski areas were closed that Monday and Tuesday due to heavy snow and avalanche danger.  That was OK too, because we hadn't planned on skiing either of those days anyway.

Hotel [Grand Hotel des Alpes], as always, was great and the meals were wonderful!  We had a really good guide for two days of skiing--one at Le Tour in the Chamonix Valley and one at Courmayeur in Italy, just through the tunnel.  It was sunny both days and the skiing was very good.  The guide took us to local on-noountain restaurants both days for lunch.  Without a guide, we would never have known about those.  Thanks for setting everything up!  Jamie and Meg.
